QuoteHelpfile added for Dust Runners (http://armageddon.org/help/view/Dust%20Runners) -- Nergal.

Thanks to the staff for making Storm more playable!  And is this the first coded clan of the town?

Edit: Grammar.
Fredd-
i love being a nobles health points

It's the first one I know of, though a veteran player can correct me if I'm wrong. Note that the help file is new, but the clan itself is not.

Nice update. Good luck to the players working hard in Red Storm!
Death is only the beginning...

I also like the updates to this helpfile: http://armageddon.org/help/view/Family%20and%20Tribal%20Roles

You can do a 2-player role call for an escaped mul/bondmate pair now! Aaaah. I've always wanted to do one of those.

(also, does it ever seem weird to anyone else how many muls must escape from captivity on the daily?)
Child, child, if you come to this doomed house, what is to save you?

I very specially specially specially specially special apped for this once, back in the day. My mul died on her first day of play. Tisiphone come back, I don't hold it against you, I AM WILLING TO TRY AGAIN.

Stoked to see that aspect of play back in the game.
And I vanish into the dark
And rise above my station

This is a major add to Red Storm, and the first independent, coded clan based solely out of the Village!

Kudos to Nergal, Ath and the Sand Lord!

To my knowledge it is a staff created and supported clan, not a player created clan.

That aside, Storm needed this. I always thought there should be a staff supported "group" in Storm that players could join who wanted to stay in/live out of Storm.

The young daughter has been filled.

The origins of the clan began many years ago with players, but it never became an actual clan til recently when staff put it together.

Basically it's a player-inspired staff-created clan.

It has been a clan in the past. It just used to be a secret.  :-\

Arm needs more Ghost Dog. Less bear hunters.

Good work. Keep showing Red Storm the love.

I don't play often in Storm but a fairly regular comment around the GDB by Storm-fans is that it's lacking in some areas that make it more playable, so it's great that it's gotten some love.  :-*

Now if it can get a bank, we're cooking with fire.

There is nothing wrong with Redstorm itself per se.  The fact that it doesn't have a bank isn't what hinders it, though it would still be very nice to have.

The south of redstorm is perfect with the silt sea to explore while the weather seems fluent and though it is sometimes random, experience can still warn you when a storm is coming.  However, the area just north of redstorm there feels clunky for some reason. I can't put my finger on it, but the weather seems like an on and off switch. You can even tell when you enter this block of area because you move south past a certain marker and it can go from clear to blinding storm. You see the areas around morins, luirs, and allanak and there are so much more interesting things to find and do. These areas are no less harsh, but are much more vibrant in my opinion.

Other than that, I'm hoping people and staff playing there can put some more love in to silt skimming (skimmers, gear and code) to attract more people in the area. Even I can't help but think of this activity as desperate suicide when it should be more like hunters exploring the edge of the grey forest which is more reckless endangerment assuming you know what you are doing.

This is a bit of a derail, but I'm a big fan of storms and night, where you can only see the room you are in and navigate if you have the right gear/skills/knowledge. While thematically appropriate, things that force you to sit down and wait it out, are less great from an enjoyable experience perspective.

Please dont add any banks to Red Storm. Next we'll give one to the Mul Outpost.

Go away, civilization! If you want to buy crap in Red Storm, you better be bringing your coin with you. And if you want to leave Red Storm with you coin, you better be bringing an escort :).

*A soft whisper.*

Localized banks.....

Red Storm Village lies just north of the Sea of Eternal Dust (q.v.). It is a haven for desert travelers and wayward merchants who pass that far south.

A simple town, ruled by a mysterious figure called the Sand Lord, Red Storm Village offers some measure of security in the knowledge that criminals rarely have the nerve to stay long, as life is a little too hard for thieves and killers.

Many folk have made their homes in Red Storm, for the simple reason that it is far enough from Allanak to avoid the long reach of Tektolnes's law, yet near enough to support an easy trade with the city-state, including grain and spice.

The latter is a narcotic harvested on the shores of the Sea of Silt, and it is the main trade of House Kurac.  (While spice illegal in the city of Allanak, and carries heavy penalties if one is discovered carrying or using it, there is naturally an underground market.)

In the 25th year of the 20th King's Age, while the rest of the world's attention was on Allanak's successful assault on the northlands (including Luir's outpost, in which Kurac conducts much of its spice trade), Red Storm was quietly devastated by a tremendous wave of silt.

The ancient stone walls stood firm, but everything within the village had to be gradually rebuilt by the Sand Lord and his people -- with help from various "interested" groups.

Most of the main buildings were reconstructed from massive blocks of stone.  These massive blocks are rumored to have been supplied by giants from the Sea of Eternal Dust by way of some obscure agreement with the Sand Lord.  In a further effort to ward off future disaster, massive canvas tarpaulins were hoisted to better shield the village from the fiercest weather of the region.

The spice trade resumed...

The neat, clean-shaven man sends you a telepathic message:
     "I tried hairy...Im sorry"

Glad to see people enjoy this.

It's a really nifty clan that has the potential for so much [redacted]!

It was really fun to associate with these guys several months ago. Kudos to everyone who kept this clan secret until now!
