Yes. Read the thread if you want, or skip to page 7 and be dismissive.

You can cha ldesc sitting at a work table, but it's hard to shake off - you have to stand away from the table.
When you do a chl, does it echo to other PCs?

There's no reason to "change ldesc" while sitting at a table because it won't show to anyone.  You'll just be shown as sitting at the table.

But if you want to get rid of any ldesc, you can "change ldesc none" and that will change it to the default.

It doesn't echo to other PCs.

Thanks  :D
Now I know it doesn't echo, I feel comfortable rearranging my PC on the fly as an alternative too.
Sitting fancily at a work table does change the ldesc in my score from the default. I don't know if that means what it says.

It doesn't, nor in the %L prompt variable.  %L and the entry in score are over-ridden when you sit at a table.  (Very confusing, I know!)

janeshephard: You really think BadSkeelz understands the concept of Wine In Front of me? This guy shot me as a townie when he felt threatened. The man's a neandrathal.

Miradus: He's not some weird mental abomination. He's just a guy on the internet.
