How do you view a specific item if there are more than one merchant?

There's a red dude here selling stuff.
There's a blue dude here selling stuff.

A blue dude has
1 Stuff
2 Cool Stuff
3 Cooler Stuff

How do I view #2 Cool Stuff?

It is apparently not
<view blue #2> or
<view blue cool>

There are a couple of times when it doesn't work. If there's a tattoo artist NPC in the room, you won't be able to see -any- other merchant list until they are no longer in the same room. I can't remember the other time, it was in the bazaar in Allanak and I think I typoed it.

I believe the merchants now actively avoid the tattoo artists. I've not seen one wander into the same room in years.
