Zalanthas showed me that the world is cruel,
and filled by those who treat you as a fool.
They murder, corrupt, and betray you.
I've seen beggars killed for their kalan
a hand taken from a desperate man,
tongues cut out of those who told the truth
fleeting life snuffed from vibrant youth.
We don't get final words
Rarely is there good bye
Unjust is how we will die
But I've seen love in its purest, simple and true
love, as a moon rose given to the one for you,
love, behind a shield and protected with sword
love, sweet as final drops of water in your gourd.
Love as a simple sacrifice
Love: a child to embrace
Love, a smile on his face
Zalanthas showed me that the world is cruel,
yet people love one another like a fool.
They laugh, smile, and live, like you.
To me, the image above captures Armageddon mud so profoundly I returned to post it. It was crafted by the amazing hands of Tomas Pręstholm.
