I found the walking dead ending to be underwhelming, having expected different (and more elaborate) endings based on choices made. Buuuut of course if they are planning on a season 2, that explains it. Damn cliffhangers.

There's five new episodes coming out in 2013.
“When I was a fighting man, the kettle-drums they beat;
The people scattered gold-dust before my horse’s feet;
But now I am a great king, the people hound my track
With poison in my wine-cup, and daggers at my back.”

The ending was satisfying. That's more than I can say for season endings in the tv series.
And there was some dwarf smoking spice, and I thought that was so scandalous because I'd only been playing in 'nak.

Re: Bungie's Destiny:

I've got a friend working on this, but she's under NDA and can't talk about it. However, she did say the other day that her boss made her read all of H.P. Lovecraft, which makes me really eager to see what this ends up looking like.

I will be honest about Destiny: maybe it's just a "Bungie style", but a lot of the art and concepts still smell like Halo, and I kinda worry that the game will be just Halo with capes or something.  Kinda wish they'd moved a little further from mil-scifi.

The game story and gameplay concept also reminds me a bit of Defiance.

I think it's going to be more fantasy-science fiction. You play a "knight", according to the leaked stuff. A lot of the leaked armor concepts and stuff are not official art, they're prototype mockups using old concept art for other games, presumably for pitches to Activision.

The little bit of information we have makes it sound similar to Marathon's universe, where there are a lot of horrible, ancient things out in the stars, and humanity is trying to eek out an existence without getting obliterated by them.
All the world will be your enemy. When they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.

I'd play a Fading Suns game. Medieval governance in space with a theocratic authority controlling technology, and barbarians in uncharted space (a silent threatening alien race, and demons).

I want to smash that guys face with a cinder block.

Playing my own modded Victoria 2 the last few days but I think I've about exhausted her. My latest Prussian game was fun. I focused on industrial tech and pouring in craftsmen and Capitalists the first 10 years or so, annexing Denmark and a few German minors. Two unconclusive wars with the French/Austrian bloc but I pulled a stroke of courage and genius and allied with the Russkies and British to stalemate them. Things mostly settled down until about 1870 or so when I attacked france and fired three hurrahs. I kept popping CB events and went balls to the wall, taking southern Sweden, parts of Amsterdam and the bulk of the northern and western Austrian provinces. I reaped it on the BadBoy though and the fucking Russians betrayed me and joined a sudden french War of Containment. They had me running for like six full years but the attrition ate their forces and I counterattacked. White peace about 1883 or so, and from then on I ran away with the game. I took the majority of Africa that wasn't UK or Ottoman territory. Three sharp wars with portugal and I colonized southern africa nicely. I was just working up to betraying my full-game Ally the UK when I lost interest. Good, stout german game. I had Brandenburg completely industrialized by 1880 or so and even took the Phillipines from Spain and had a German outpost in Korea.

Hooray.
We were somewhere near the Shield Wall, on the edge of the Red Desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

What mods?

Vicky I is one of my favorite games of all time.  Vicky II seems broken during the end game but haven't taken it for a spin since a few months after release.

I want Vicky II to rock so bad :-(

Little bit more information on that.

I'm not sure that Torment's story needs any new answers. It's done and concluded. If they made a sequel, I'd rather have them concentrate on the setting and not on TNO. If we get a prequel, like what was that he did to deserve such punishment... I bet it will be underwhelming.

New adventures around Sigil and Hive and catacombs... oh, boy.

Pretty sure what that article means is that much of the Planescape content is WotC material.

You're not likely to see the exact same sights as the previous game.

I would play ANY new planescape-setting game unless it runs like dragon age. And wholeheartedly agreed, a prequel or a sequel to the original would suck big time, because of all the RPG's I've played Planescape: Torment is one of the best standalone, complete products ever made and certainly doesn't need more.

Far Cry 3 looks to be tons better than 2 was.

Gonna download the DLC for Skyrim. You get to ride DRAGONS.

Probably going to re-install Morrowind due to Dragonborn nostalgia.
Also, I like my cootch to have a pert pink color and nice smell. Knowing my luck I would bonk someone with AIDs, get rotten box, and die miserable.

But it was a clean install of the game on Steam ???

It's working fine now, and I'm faced with the alternate issue of the game not actually being that good.

A clean install on Steam won't change the fact that you're connecting to a server to play multiplayer.
