I got better at it and reached Chapter 10.... the game technically always saves your progress. All your unlocks etc are saved. It saves your grade on each chapter too.
And there was some dwarf smoking spice, and I thought that was so scandalous because I'd only been playing in 'nak.

So Halo 4 actually emphasizes character and story now? This is the first time I've been interested in the franchise.

ACIII is cool so far. But still lacks in any sort of stealth gameplay.
Now you're looking for the secret. But you won’t find it because of course, you're not really looking. You don't really want to work it out. You want to be fooled.

The Halo series has always had a pretty solid single-player story.

In Halo 4, they have indeed put a loose narrative over competitive multiplayer gameplay, and a stronger one for an episodic cooperative mode.  Both modes also share in some mild RPG elements as you gain levels and unlock minor weapons/perks/abilities as well as armor customization.

It is, however, undeniably still an action shooter.  Not an RPG by any means.

One of the few complaints I've heard about Halo 4's campaign is that the plot might be too much for new players or people unfamiliar with the extended universe.

Not a problem for me, but I'm curious to hear what you guys think if you check it out.

The Halo series has always had a pretty solid single-player story.

If by solid, you mean b-movie bogstandard + a whole bunch of pointless lore only fanwanks could care about. (not a huge fan of the halo series)

I craves the dramas in my veegees these days. So I'll be checking this one out.

And I'm pretty much basing my last two posts on this article.

Who has Guns of Icarus? We can make a boat called the Armageddon and pit it against others.

Something broke with my Paradox games. CK2 and Victoria2 are both screwed up and I can't fix them. Bleh.

Trying to play Penumbra but I'm kind of a chickenshit....

Does anyone have some tips for controlling massive amounts of territory in CK2?  I'm currently in control of everything from Spain, the HRE, everything in between them and a couple of African duchies.  Way too many vassals.

I believe the general rule is:

Do not make duchies. Do not make them, create them, or hold them. EVER.
A dark-shelled scrab pinches at you, but you dodge out of the way.
A dark-shelled scrab brandishes its bone-handled, obsidian scimitar.
A dark-shelled scrab holds its bloodied wicked-edged, bone scimitar.

I'm a bit late, but I am playing Planetside 2 (Vanu).

In other game stuff, dissapointed by Deadlight, not really playing X-Com and tentatively looking in to Natural Selection 2. I'm a few days from buying a basic copy of The War Z as well, although still humming and hah-ing over it.

On the subject of first person 'choppers', I would say pick up Chivalry if you want some ridiculous, easy to pick up choppy action without the stupid swing bars and clunky stuff that War of the Roses has.

I've scanned my system for keyloggers with MalwareBytes a dozen times, and I'm pretty sure I'm clean, yet someone has somehow managed to get my Guild Wars 2 account information. Despite the fact that it's completely different from my Battle.net account information (which was also stolen and remains compromised despite dozens of attempts to fix it) and hasn't been used on any other websites, someone stole my account and charged my credit card for $300 on the gem store. I can't access arenanet to fix it because I get this:

Code: [Select]
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
<Error code="48" module="3" line="339" text="callback (): TypeError: Cannot read property 'safe' of undefined TypeError: Cannot read property 'safe' of undefined at Object.failure (Account/lib.login.js:89:42) at Object.<anonymous> (Account/login.portal.js:38:35) at Library/sugar-sts.js:114:78"/>

I don't understand how I've managed to go years without ever having any accounts compromised, only to end up with repeated clusterfuck situations in the past couple months.

I use AVG. It's free and very effective. Finds trojans that come off websites too.

I use AVG as my standard protection but MalwareBytes is typically better at actually scanning my system.

I love this game. I still own all the original Playstation versions, but I'm not sure about this latest one. Peace Walker. Doesn't seem like a MGS game to me.

Anyone else is playing Chivalry?

I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Buy it from http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/shooter/chivalry-medieval-warfare/ with the code GMG35-5BRU6-ZDRX7 and it's only $15.

With poison in my wine-cup, and daggers at my back.”

I've been having a good time with it, generally on archer suppression with my big, damned warbow.

Do you have any servers you generally play?  A server with consistent high population is worth its weight in gold.

You pay little money, you think little much, you get into blood filled melees with people who sound like it's some sort of intellectual exercise.

Thoroughly enjoyable, has a fairly easy learning curve and can be tough to master.

My only issue with it is the tiered unlock system that isn't quite sidegrade-ey across the board.

FUCK YOU.  :'( :'( :'(
And then I sat there going "really? that was it? that's so stupid."

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

It has been a decade since they made a good mechwarrior game. I'm a fan of the ultra realism style.

Mechcommander is probably my favorite Battletech game. The "Mercenaries" MW games are always good, though. I used to play the tabletop as a kid and before I started Arming I did the tabletop via this javascript program. It was/is pretty cool. It turns 5 hour games into 1-2 hour affairs.
