Anyone played this before? If so, your thoughts and opinions?

I'm looking to try it out, when it releases on PS4. I've heard lots of pro's, lots of con's, depending on who is doing the telling.

10/10 slave empire simulator. I spend 90% of my time afk chopping wood while my workers dig up tubers for me. The combat is really good but there's not much else to it besides the trade empire stuff and the flashy combat/PvP. It's very, very, very grindy, as all Korean MMOs are. I enjoy it but that's because I can afk play it while remote logging in every once in a while from work to shove food in my worker's mouths.

I used to play it for the trade and fishing... its not very easy to get into, and the combat/PvP is dominated by the normal elite few.

But as far as economics goes, and messing around, it was great. Taming horses, raising them, building your own trade wagon, finding where to best trade items without getting ganked by higher level enemies.

The one upside is that people will always need the Tier0 components and crafts for SOMETHING.

On Cyberpunk, I am not getting my hopes up...it has been in dev for a very long time now and has had several problems with actors and many other things...I think that keano is like the 3rd person to have that role.

I am looking forward to dying light 2...and that one game where it is space/colonies and corporations are in control...can never remember the name, but looks good.

Gameplay looks better than Vampyr from that short clip alone. But I suppose everyone's expectations are really high for this game. So better than Vampyr might be a low bar, but still that's a real 6/10 game.

My friend got me a Promo code for a game called Escape from Tarkov. It feels like I'm playing ARM for the first time.

I'm blind, wandering around and lost, picking up random junk loot, then getting killed by the first NPC I come across.

For my MMO Console players; Black Desert's PS4 Beta launched today and will be available, for free, until the 13th. There are giveaways, events, etc. that will carry over to your main account, should you decide to play the game, after it's official release.

Are they on their own servers, though?

Because I'd pick up BDO on a fresh server but I only play PC

Yesterday I considered making a post about how Kerbal Space Program needs a proper sequel or at least a spiritual sequel. It's almost been 10 years since KSP came out.

It's such a huge success and it's an amazing game that no other game has even tried to replicate. So It irked me that nothing else was out there. I wanted to say all that yesterday. And then today this came out:

No Man's Sky was on sale. Welp, there goes a huge chunk of my time.

Death Stranding and Day of Dragons (Think ARK: Play As Dino mod) in November, The Last of Us: Part ll in February and Cyberpunk 2077 in April. I am going to be very entertained, and very slacking in my courses, towards the end of this year/start of next...

Legit so excited for Death Stranding I actually preordered it, first Pre-order ever, and breaking a rule I set for myself to never get excited enough to do so. But dammit, I want it so bad.

Disco Elysium is a fucking fantastic RPG.

You play as a detective trying to solve a crime and fill in his murky history. You level up certain traits that determine how you explore and deal with other characters. These traits don't just change how you can affect the world, but also how you perceive it. They also serve as an inner-monologue and parts of your characters psyche. Often times you will have multiple traits all weighing in on certain situations, sometimes arguing with each-other, or adding to each other to help you gain a better perspective on things.

It's an incredible system unlike anything I've seen before.

Very few games have this level of writing. I started playing last night and suddenly 5 hours had passed. It's incredibly absorbing and immersive. It's funny and insightful. It's weird and utterly unique.

There's no combat(confrontations are done the same as the rest of the game, through narrative decision-making), and the game mostly functions as an isometric walking-sim/point-and-click where you're exploring, gathering things, talking to people, and piecing together the world and story. I only mention this because if those sorts of things might keep you away... They will be keeping you from an incredible experience. Normally these things would put me off, but it does everything so well I didn't even notice.
