The Sword By My Side - The Thermals

The sword by my side
Will cut a hole in the sky
Will leave nowhere to hide.
The sword by my side
Will allow me to be
The last thing my enemies will see.
All the world will be your enemy. When they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.

Here's a Health to the Company

So here's a health to the company and one to my lass,
let's drink and be merry all out of one glass,
let's drink and be merry all grief to refrain,
for we may or might never all meet here again.

QuoteA female voice says, in sirihish:

You made that link wrong, bcw.

"Dealing with idiots" by Malken & the pussycats
"When I was a fighting man, the kettle-drums they beat;
The people scattered gold-dust before my horse's feet;
But now I am a great king, the people hound my track
With poison in my wine-cup, and daggers at my back."

You made that link wrong, bcw.
Now I feel like an idiot.

Fix't.

Not exaaactly that alone, but at least a good chunk of the guy's personality.

Peering into the darkness, your voice uncertain, you say, in sirihish:
"You be wary, you lot. It ain' I who's locked 'p here with yeh. it's the whol
e bunch of youse that's locked down here with meh."

It's my own design
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the most

Of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
This is magnificent, and it's true! It never happened, yet it is still true! What magic art is this?
Things need not have happened to be true. Tales and dreams are the shadowtruths that will endure when mere facts are dust and ashes, and forgot. Sandman

Princess of the Universe!

The theme song of every Female Dwarf!

No man could understand
My power is in my own hands

Fly the moon and reach for the stars
With my sword and head held high
Got to pass the test first time, yeah
I know that people talk about me
I hear it every day
But I can prove them wrong 'cause I'm right first time

Not my current character.  Not sure if I showed this here before, or saw it here originally.  But this should have been a bardic battle troupe of Tuluk just after the occupation.  That would've been BAWS.  And hilarious.
She wasn't doing a thing that I could see, except standing there leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together. --J.D. Salinger

Theme song of my favorite character by far.

they speak the same words.

I'm trying to go through all of the songs listed and the first one I hear is techno and I think, "His character was a man from the future...?"
Does anyone remember that thread of rediculous rejected apps? xD
The one with the demon from the future with dripping fangs and stuff? oh man! Someone find that thread!

My current character? It'd be a song about being in way over one's head, swept up in forces one can't control or understand, and slowly losing oneself. I'm picking Bartholomew, The Silent Comedy. Incidentally, a great song.

Oh my god
Please help me, knee deep in the river tryin' to get clean
He says wash your hands, get out the stains
But you best believe, boy, there's hell to pay
Yeah you best believe, boy, there's hell to pay, sayin'
Come on

Oh my god
Please help me, waist deep in the river, can you hear my plea?
He says, son, you come like a beggar in the streets
You might make it, boy, but by the skin of your teeth
You might make it, boy, but by the skin of your teeth, sayin'

I rambled with the worst of them
Fell in love with a harlequin
Saw the darkest hearts of men
And I saw myself starin' back again
And I saw myself starin' back again

Oh my god
Please help me, neck deep in the river screamin' for relief
He says, it's mine to give, but it's yours to choose
You're gonna sink or swim, you're gonna learn the truth
No matter what you do you're gonna learn the truth sayin'

Ate the bread that once was stone
Fell from a cliff, never broke a bone
Bowed down to get the kings overthrown
And I'm all alone and the fire grows
And I'm all alone and the fire grows

Lyrics are as follows:

Dun dun dun, dun dun-dun, dun dun-dun
"We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness."  -- 1984

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYhfVcY1sEY

I'm not sure why but the chorus:

"Come close, come close
And call my name
How can you turn your back on me
When you know my pain
Stay close, stay close
Light up the night
Save me from the part of me
That's begging to die."

The original version of the song would best be used later in the character's life; it's got a much more mature vibe to it, whilst this version feels much more youthful and raw in comparison (I enjoy both, really):

Whatever happens, happens.

This is the closest thing I've come up with so far.

The Black Keys - I'm Not the One
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tive-nmdF_4

I've been tried,
and I've been tested.
I was born tired.
I never got arrested.
Harder than marble stone,
I'm better off, better off left alone.
'Cause I'm not the one.
No, I'm not not the one.

You wanted it all
but I give you, give you none.
I'm not the one.

Like a toy to a kid,
I said "jump" and momma you did.
And you know, your daddy knows, and your momma knows, that's wrong.
So now it's time for me to move on
'cause I'm not the one.

You wanted it all
but I give you, give you none.
I'm not the one.

You think that I'm normal.
All these years, I'm just trying to warn you.
You'd do good to move on.
No it won't, it won't hurt me none.
'cause I'm not the one.
No, I'm not the one.

You wanted it all
but I give you, give you none.
'cause I'm not the one.

This one struck a nerve today.

Ah well you should just kill those PCs. They're not worth the time of plotting creatively against.

I have changed my mind, to this song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MUmnLs9gN4

The general feel and mood of the song fits my character perfectly. There are obvious OOC things like Chevrolet references and whatnot, but overall it's awesome.

Damn. Ya'll are playing a bunch of breeds and shit aren't you?

How is 99 In the Shade a breed song?
