I did a card! If you think it's corny, you don't know my dog.

If your dog is a Pug I do know your dog. And the card makes perfect sense if so. :D

A bittersweet victory, though...my two starting generals died 6 and 3 months prior to final victory.

Rest in peace, Adv 001 and Gen 002.

Oh my god. YOU play this game too? Which version? Manboog plays it ALL the time. Same with the Age of Empires from like... 2006.

Love this series.

Yeah. Manboog plays the ANCIENT Rot3Ks. Like, the ones from the 90s. Maybe that's what I'll get him for Christmas - a newer version.

I ran this morning. I hadn't worked out since last week, because I was being lazy and depressed.
And then I sat there going "really? that was it? that's so stupid."

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

That reminded me of a game I used to play back in the old days, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I used to love Liu Bei.
I'm taking an indeterminate break from Armageddon for the foreseeable future and thereby am not available for mudsex.

I take over china with a custom PC and Lu Bei as my general in Dynasty Warriors, which appears to be the updated versions of this game.

Also, a friend just posted this to my facebook timeline. I laughed.

I'll try and stop posting pictures now.

Saying that Dynasty Warriors is an updated version of ROTK and mentioning a Lu Bei.. Who is this, a mix between that asshole Lu Bu and the magnificent Liu Bei!?

You, sir, are dead to me!

Guan Yu is definitely my favorite, as well. Funny tidbit about him, every police stations in China has a statue of him and he is still worshipped by many martial arts fighter.

I have a statue of him somewhere in my basement..

I'm sorry. The size of his beard was more impressive than his wielding of the halberd, sir.

A 40lb halberd is nothing when you're 6'9 and you even lift, bro.

He was nine chi. That's ... nine feet?

No, during the era of the three kingdoms, a chi was about 23 cm (9~ inches), it's only during the 19th century that the length of a chi went up to about 31-36cm, depending on the part of the country and the application used with it.

Oh, okay. Still. 6'9" is pretty respectable. I GUESS. No more romantic fantasies about some 9 foot tall Chinese man with a magnificent beard and a sexy halberd sweeping me off into the sunset.

Oh my god. YOU play this game too? Which version? Manboog plays it ALL the time. Same with the Age of Empires from like... 2006.

That was RoTK3.  I started in the crappiest top-left province with a custom ruler and generals.  I played pretty cautiously and was busy with RL (and Arm), so it took me about 3 RL years to finally finish the game.  I kept getting my ass kicked until I figured out how to terrorize the countryside with cavalry.  I'm thinking about trying it again with a custom ruler without using that trick, though.

I've never seen the trick posted in a FAQ or walkthrough, so here you go:  The enemy AI is terrible at logistics.  What this means is that you can bring an army of say, 15k cavalry, and bring enough food for them for a 10-month battle, and you can just ride around outside their walls, evading their pursuing units, until the enemy runs out of food and has to retreat.  You could call it an exploit, but I like to think of it as asymmetrical warfare, heh.

Now that I have a better idea of how to use crossbows to increase your kill:death ratio, I might try it again without using that trick (which admittedly makes the game pretty easy, once you figure it out).

Yeah. Manboog plays it often, when Age of Empires doesn't do it for him at the time, and then will get occasionally mad before going back to it and defeating all. Cao Cao's his favorite to play as, and in fact, is his favorite Romance personality/historical figure. He oftentimes brings up us moving to China, or at least visiting. I told him instead of a huge wedding, or hell, any wedding, we could save and go somewhere and he asked if we could go to China. I guess that's alright, as long as we can run to Japan real fast and see a real live geisha.

Anyway, my happy for today is that the last time I tried giving the baby peanut butter, his face broke out a bit. But, I gave him almond milk today and he's just fine. In fact, he's sucked down 16 ounces of it without incident. Yay.
