Yesterday I did some knife fighting with my class. I didn't realize I was good until I Jason Bourne'd the shit out of them. Constantly stabbing and being stabbed by a fellow Corporal at work with pens and rubber knives has been paying off. (He did Filipino Knife Fighting for a few years as a part of his JKD regimen so he shows me stuff.)

And then I sat there going "really? that was it? that's so stupid."

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

Humans have discovered how to get around the Heisenberg uncertainty principle and measure both the position and the momentum of a particle without collapsing its wave-function. Finally ... we can put all that quantum-mystic "oh we can never understand it" bullshit to bed.  :D

Huh?  Link?

Oh, hmm, well that is interesting, but not quite what I was hoping for, heh.  Still, very neat.

Thanks for the link!

Do you think we'll ever stop finding new questions, the more answers we get? It makes me happy to know that we probably wont.

If we ever do, then mass suicides will probably occur.

I don't think that this invalidates the Uncertainty Principle, if I understand the new technique properly.  Still cool.

My grandpa has started eating again.  They were able to remove his feeding tube and grandma insisted on taking him home from hospice.  His prognosis has gone from something like 'almost certainly going to die in the next month' to 'maybe is not going to die in the next month' so that's good.   ;D

Your happy news made me happy this morning.
Yay kitty!
Valeria, I'm so sorry to hear your grandfather's not well, but thank God for improvements. I'm glad you get to have him a while longer.

Lol @ the philosoraptor Ron Weasley,

Also, this is great:

I found my kitty. All is once again right with my world.

And finally, having a nice Father's Day with my boys.  My oldest says to me, "I'm the smartest kid in my class, dad," in a proud voice, and me, very nonchalantly, while serving him pancakes for breakfast, say, with a smile, "Well, that's not too bad, son."

Happy Father's Day, folks.
