The battery in my truck died two days ago. I've been walking and getting rides from people.... I hate getting rides from people. I'd much rather walk, but my work needs me to be on time. Heh heh. But yesterday, I was walking someplace and a co-worker stopped to give me a lift. I hate getting rides... unless it's out of the kindness of their hearts. (and they don't knock me out and butt rape me)

Symphony's date story.
Varak:You tell the mangy, pointy-eared gortok, in sirihish: "What, girl? You say the sorceror-king has fallen down the well?"

This morning, to get this Friday off on the right start, I wrote a short joke on my bosses whiteboard and it went like this...

"Japanese scientists have created a camera with such a fast shutter speed; they can now photograph a woman with her mouth shut." Beneath it I wrote, "Happy Friday Bossman."

As he comes out of his meeting I toss an IM...

Steve: Take a look at your whiteboard.

Kevin: dude, my wife is coming in soon. Might want to erase that.
but it is funny

 ;) :D :D :D :D ;D

I just got an email from my bar association young lawyers section that made me giggle out loud.

It reads something like this:

Quote
1) We have booked _(park)_ for _(date)_ for softball.

2) _(Secretary)_ is looking into getting insurance for the event.

3) We will need at least 18 players.

Only lawyers would think that getting insurance for a friendly softball game rates a higher priority than securing the players.

My kids came over, and my oldest asked me if he can watch Ren and Stimpy, and being that I noticed it on NetFlix before, I was happy to say 'Yes.'  I still remember being just a little bit older than him and watching this show.

 :)

Oh gods, I remember R&S.  That show basically stole my childhood innocence away.

Also, pizza.  Some guy from Dominos just turned up with 4 of them, which had been paid for by card.  I had ordered no pizza.  He did not care.  Neither did I.  I gave him 5 and a cigarette and we parted ways as men who have accomplished a difficult, but worthy task.  I kept the pizzas btw.

I get to spend this weekend lounging by a brand new inground pool, playing with two awesome labs (one yellow, one black), drinking beer, sunning myself, and watching netflix on a gigantic 72-inch flatscreen tv... and I get paid for it.

Labs have always been my favorite dogs, they're such darlings.  Black, yellow or chocolate?

One black, one yellow. Sadly, they don't belong to me (a dog would be miserable in my apartment). I'm babysitting them this weekend.

I feel your pain, I want dogs, but just can't right now.

Same. Fortunately my cat is pretty awesome (cuddles, comes when called, and plays fetch). That'll do.  :D
