I acquired the PS1 MGS last year sometime. Man, I love that game. Too bad I don't really play it. Just like I picked up the old PS1 Xenogears but didn't make it all the way through a replay. Now I just have to figure out a way to acquire Suikoden 2 (all time favorite,) without spending $150. I would definitely play through Suikoden 2. It has so much depth to the story compared to most JRPGs, kind of like FFT.

Happy thought: Old school Matchbox 20.
I can get you Suikoden II without spending $150 because I own it. PM me.

This made me lul.

Facebook status: "GuyIKnow likes Paris Hilton and 1984 - George Orwell."
And then I sat there going "really? that was it? that's so stupid."

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

Gorgeous woman I've had the hots for for ten years just moved back from half a state away - and invited me to come down to her house.

I think I'm going to be really, really forward. If things go wrong, I can always leave.

You've got this. Just don't be too forward and lose your chance.

For me, 'really, really forward' would be something along the lines of saying this: "For a decade, every time I've seen you smile, that light in your eyes, the bow of your lips, I've dreamt only of kissing you. Would you make my year, and allow me just one kiss?"

That would either melt my heart or give me creepy vibes, and knowing the person, you know better about what she might like to hear.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

I saw some cool (yes cool!) Morris Dancers today, doing their thing, and then found out they were called Armaleggan.

Also, I don't know what's surprising about Superman being in England. I once saw Batman and Robin stacking trolleys outside a supermarket. True story.

I saw those guys in a festival once, they were awesome!

SCEE is letting people affected by the PSN downtime choose two out of a selection of five games for free.  Colour me happy.  So long as they're not shite games anyway.
AFAIK SCEA hasn't announced this yet, but I assume it's a matter of time.

This email my dad sent out to family, friends and co-workers:

I'm home.

It was great to have a normal breakfast at the hospital before I left: cheese omelet, hash browns, oatmeal, and apple sauce, together with 3 cups of coffee throughout the morning.

Susan and I asked our final questions to the surgeon this morning, such as how large the possible tumors are and how far separated they are. My final question to my surgeon was how long I should expect to stay at home before I return to work. He said "two to three weeks." When I suddenly jumped out of my reclining chair to shake his hand, he was a little shocked and said "probably two weeks."

I feel pretty good. On our way home we stopped at the Library to pick up the copy of Michael Connelly's latest novel, The Fifth Witness, that I was holding on reserve.

I feel like I made everyone's happy thread sad face. But while it's horrible that he's sick, it's awesome that he's not becoming a sick person. He's so damn tough, and it's a good good thing. The day after his surgery, which included a surprise bowel resection, they didn't come fast enough to take him to walk. So, he got up on his own and used a sheet as a robe, until they got him one, and we carried the plugs for the monitors so they didn't bang around while he strolled for a half hour. He's really awesome.

I love you babyface, times a million. If you need my number or anything to vent, just ask. I'd post it on FB, but then I'd have my whole family calling me and that's a big fat "no thanks". If I were up there I would do your regardening for you.

And you think I would politely decline because you're pregnant? Right? Right? I'd giving you a trowel and gardening gloves. And bring you iced beverages.

I wouldn't want you to decline! I'm still able to bend and ... stuff! The gardening gloves would be fine. I can fetch my own drank while you take a breather!

That's fucking awesome to hear, Barz! Best wishes go out to your Pa :)

Thing that made me happy today:
I grew balls and asked her out as I saw her entering the Bank, the same moment I was getting off my shift.

Of course, I promptly found out she had a boyfriend, afterward - And may've threatened the solidity of my employment and social-standing amongst fellow coworkers...

But I still got her number :D
