It starts off with traditional music from Mongolia, which reminds me of what Tuluki bards might sound like...

That's interesting. I always though of Tuluk as being a Rome-like place. It might be the fact that they like red, white, the word Legion and marble though.

Actually, I've always thought of Tuluk more Classical Greek-like than Rome-like. A cultured civilization with arts and learning (especially that one teacher instructing the children) with some aspects turned to the military but far less expansionist than Rome.

Allanak always makes me think of the golden age of Egypt.

Ofcourse they both take aspects from many different cultures, and some are unique, so I can see some Mongolian sounding bards in Tuluk :)

The Bushranger!

-- ON TOPIC: This song always reminds me of that one bar in the Rinth for some reason.

The last time I played in Tuluk I got Greece/India vibes.

Ohh, that's probably a better comparison, but the politics definitely remind me of Rome.

BONUS TRACK: Byn Patrol.

This is SO spot on. It's making me miss my Bynner character.

I'll try keeping this sort to avoid the thread from going off-topic, but, while what you're saying is true, the thing that does strike quite a bit about Tuluk is their policy of "Live as you like, but if you want our standard of life live like one of us". Then there's this whole Citizen business. The thing about Greece, that doesn't come along with Tuluk (or any place in Arm for that matter), is that it was a very liberal, free-thinking state. Free-thinkers end up dead pretty quickly in Zalanthas.

Morning devotions in Allanak:

That movie has a lot of great Arm mood tracks. I could never get myself to listen to hip hop or electro / metal while playing in a desert world... oriental music ftw.

You mean that's how they torture people? I'd break down immediately. And this is even a short version.

This always popped into my head when I seen people in the AoD patrolling in a large group.......  8)

The AoD.

That's awesome BMO.

I know I posted somewhere something about Final Fantasy X's soundtracks rocking my socks off to some arm.

But, sometimes I just need something to not put me too sleep, so I go to my local Imeem website, an whip out tekken 5's playlist.

From above ;

Antares - Throwing down with someone IG that you cant stand or have been after, and the feeling is mutual.
Ground Zero Funk - Pretty much getting ambushed.
Formless like water - Going on a long ass ride through the desert.

Since we're talking about Final Fantasy now: http://www.imeem.com/kunto/music/GSAggD1Y/the-world-festival-symphony-orchestra-tinas-theme/

Probably one of favourite soundtracks. Not sure where it'd fit Zalanthas though. I guess a long, stormy journey from Allanak to Tuluk or something along these lines.

(Shortcut to the heavy metal version: http://www.imeem.com/tygrael/music/GGGNIGEq/crows-claw-tinas-theme-final-fantasy-6/ )
(And another one: http://www.imeem.com/hakimei/music/YZPU5rWc/serenade-yukihana-continent-final-fantasy-6-tinas-theme/ )

The metal version of that was sweet.

But see... now you just opened up a can of final fantasy -again-. - http://www.imeem.com/secretasianman/playlist/s3bE4Rq8/final-fantasy-x-the-complete-soundtrack-music-playlist/

Crisis - Reading certain events from the history line *Cough* Dragon
Seymour battle - I just picture two mages going at it relentlessly in some place like the flats or tablelands
Wandering Flame - Everyone has those bad days.
Scorching Desert - Maybe just following the life of a tribal rolling through the desert.
Those who come closer - Hah, pretty much having that one person way you and let you know how screwed you really are, or give you some giant, life-changing news.

I think we can just as well toss the Chrono Cross soundtrack into the mix: http://www.imeem.com/secretasianman/playlist/SYqnT_XL/chrono-cross-the-complete-soundtrack-music-playlist/

Time's Scar and Dreams of Forgotten Shores *thumbs up*

More FF...

Don't know if One Winged Angel by The Black Mages has been mentioned yet or not. Probably best for a battle of some sorts.

EDIT: Next time my southie ventures into the 'rinth this is what will play.
