Are you still looking for Gladiators or are all the roles filled?
Respect. Responsibility. Compassion.

I stopped playing this game and I'm going to start again, just for the lovely combat spam.

Clans can give stat bonuses and penalties, too. The Byn drop in wisdom is particularly notorious.

Applications will only be open till Monday, 6th April.

After tonight, you know this is going to be sexy.  Miss at your own loss!

Please note, the Arena games on Saturday will start at approximately 8pm CST. For those wishing to compete please be in the Arena half an hour prior.

Any chance of times for the other events?

Also, with you guys posting times and stuff, aren't you on Summertime DLS? So is CST -6 or -5 at the moment? (Feel sorry for offpeakers....)

I was going to say something witty, but it was far too long to be funny. See y'all at the partay!

I wish I could be there.

I think the Kuraci party on Wednesday night won't be starting until 9:30 PM or 10 PM EST.

I rather believe times will be posted for the other events when the people running them get firm times scheduled. As for the arena event, it'll be running for several hours, so you offpeakers show up if you can manage, sleepiness will be forgiven, I swear.

Thanks to all who participated in the commencement. Had a great time.  :D

A scavenger-type hunt sort of somethingorother will begin more or less around the general vicinity of 6 est on Sunday. That should be late enough to miss the majority of those Easter Dinners that start at noon and end at 4, for those of you who observe.

I woke up late and missed the best part  :'(

What was peak tonight? I saw 88 and I came on fairly late.

Edited to add: And I missed the party being elsewhere in the verse. I'm sure it was amazing though.

You missed loads of combat spam, and one of the bloodiest fights in the Allanaki arena that any of my numerous characters have seen.

I've come to the conclusion that relaxing is not the lack of doing anything, but doing something that comes easily to you.

I'm not sure how many people went to the arena event. At one point I counted 62 people in Allanak, that was right before the event.

Thanks to everyone who participated, as spectators or fighters. A big thanks to the gladiators. I appreciate the effort you all put in, sorry about the spam, combat happens FAST. I think you all did a great job tonight and during the week for the build up.

Thanks again.

Bloody indeed.  :o But I had a good time since I've never seen anything like it before.

That was so much goddamn fun.

Yeh.

Thank you all.

It really was a lotta fun.

I'm jealous of the gladiators. Wish I could have app'ed.

You ain't jokin'!

Good times all around.

Yes! Kudos to all gladiators, especially to a certain heel that everyone loved to hate. I admire his guts!
Rickey's Law: People don't want "A story". They want their story.

Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained?!

A thank you to the players and staff that put this together.

And a special thanks to those who died to entertain us.

"Thrust this into another man's flesh, and they will applaud and love you for that. You may even begin to love them for that."
"I have seen him show most of the attributes one expects of a noble: courtesy, kindness, and honor.  I would also say he is one of the most bloodthirsty bastards I have ever met."

I thought it was a little too hard to keep track of what was going on, to be enjoyable.

The combat was so fast that the gladiators got off maybe a single emote per death...

Also, what's with being able to hear all the useless dialogue on the arena floor?  It's annoying being able to hear, "Amos, watch my back.  Malik, attack the elf first, then regroup on the Beast's Chraden."

Oh, and another thing: Templars, don't let your gladiators use clubs. One-hit knockouts are lame.

Haha, oh man.

That was some of the best fun I've had in a good while on Arm.

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped put it together.. the whole event was great  ;D

I enjoyed this alot.

It was almost as spammy as the Gith War itself, except there wasn't any exploding, metal weapons, or my PC accidentally attacking the people on their side (oops, my bad for that, guys who were around in the Gith War).

I would have also enjoyed less spam, but this is an RPT, so... Doesn't that say it all?
As of February 2017, I no longer play Armageddon.

It was ACE! Thanks to everyone. Gladiators were just amazing. Very cool overall.

Only complaint:

Boo to all you Americans going to bed so early. I could have carried the party on allll night.  8)

Even then, yes - what glorious, violent combat spam. I'm still riding that adrenaline rush.

Now the games are over, I am allowed to show you these EXCLUSIVE clips of one of the Allanak gladiators going through their daily training routine:

From what I saw, a number of these were actually one hit kills. Arm combat, fast and deadly.  And lastly, don't stop using them, its awesome to see people explode into gore.

Outstanding RPT, orchestrated with skill by staff and executed fantastically by players.  Well done, all.

For those who truly rocked:

In my time on Armageddon I've seen a number of excellent arena matches, but last night's exhibition really took the cake.

For everyone who sat in the stands, cheering and jeering, hurling fruit and feces, Kudos to you for making the environment realistic.

For everyone who volunteered to go down into the sands and fight alongside or with the gladiators, Kudos to you for showing the spirit of the Festival and for standing and delivering in the name of your faction.

And for the gladiators, I have a double dipped, chocolate and fudge covered, cherry centered Kudos.  You did an -amazing- job.  Truly inspiring.  Every emote, every wound dealt or coped with, the insults and commaradarie, wonton bloodshed, and occasional bouts of cannibalism... seriously excellent.

My thanks to everyone involved.  To quote Bladerunner:  "You've done a man's job, sir!  It's too bad she won't live... but then again, who does?"
I seduced the daughters of men
And made the death of them.
I demanded human sacrifices
From the rest of them.
I became the spirit that haunted
And protected them.
And I lived in the tower of flame
But death collected them.
