You can't double the size, there is a standard size for helpfiles.

We could provide a link, however I would prefer that be in addition to an ASCII map, not instead of.

I'm not sure that I would like a map that was room-by-room accurate.  It would greatly reduce the need to explore, and exploration was a lot of fun for me when I was new to the game.  There's a point at which support actually becomes unhelpful; a crutch that prevents new players from learning to walk without it.

We have always left a fair degree of things unmapped so that you must "find out IC."

A link, in addition to the ASCII map, would be awesome!

The only thing I have against the ASCII map, is the large open area to the east of the city.  If that was labeled with something, it would be fantastic.

Players can always submit artwork through the submissions tool. ;)

I can't guarantee I'll put the link in, but if staff agree, it's certainly possible.

What, no one wants to map Old Tuluk or the Noble District?  ;)

I think they should be left the way they are as not to reveal too much IC info.

I also think mansa's final version of the map is fine.

Awesome...
I love the out-of-the-box idea of using empty space for roads instead of characters.  It really works for Tuluk's layout.

I prefer the other map, with the dots for roads and simpler walls.
Clans can give stat bonuses and penalties, too. The Byn drop in wisdom is particularly notorious.

It is spelled Ghaati, not Ghatti as some seem to think. Or did you mean something else?

Edited to add: Just noticed that the current helpfile says "Ghatti", so I get it now.

The current map of Tuluk in game misspells it and so do most of the IG messages on rumour boards involving the teahouse.   This has long bothered me, hence my sig which I made about six months ago.

Use both!

They are both good in their own ways. I like the empty space for the roads, it makes everything a lot clearer, but ere are parts of it that don't look quite right (around the sanctuary, can't figure out whats road and what's space between roads).

Would love to see an Ourla stylised map as well!

Kind of reviving this post, but I just threw this map together. As a brand new player, and fairly new to MUDs, I was having a hard time finding my way around.

The cities don't count, I think.  Minus the buildings that count as Found out IC.
