I found todays story cool.  It got me thinking about the mine story, because...

Valasurus was with the Allanak armies at Wyntek Harzen.  He was a scout.

During the war, a black fortress is discovered in the sands.

Maybe Valasurus discovered Luirs.  Maybe Luir taught him, because twenty two years later...

The city-state of Steinal rises in the far east under the vile sorcerer Valasurus.

Which brings me back to the mine story.  Tektolnes, Valasurus and Luir?  Certainly, the last two seemed to know each other by sight, which you wouldn't think Tek and Luir would.  So maybe Luir and Valasurus?  Or, the person is Tek, the first opponent is Luir and the second Valasurus?  So many possibilities, I look forward to more stories.

Quirky things I'd like to know-

-Beginnings and history of Mal Krian
-Something about who and what the Sand Lord is
-The story behind the place where all the escaped muls used to live
-How did half-giants really come into being

These are all things I would like to know as well, however, i'm going to speculate about them privately, and not on the GDB.
