Because they need more commissions to survive as a company and are awesome, I'll link Artcorgi here as well:

http://artcorgi.com/

The thread is about to slip off the first page.  :( But seriously, it's a great service for character art.

Welcome to the life of an artist.
“When I was a fighting man, the kettle-drums they beat;
The people scattered gold-dust before my horse’s feet;
But now I am a great king, the people hound my track
With poison in my wine-cup, and daggers at my back.”

I don't know any artist who charges less than 25$ for a character portrait. There's some who offer freebies occasionally, but those might take 3 months if they're actually ever completed.

If something is small or only partially done and takes a minimum-wage-compliant number of hours to complete, I might, because I'm not actually very qualified.  :P

But a decent single-subject painting with an abstract background done fairly rapidly apparently takes me 5 hours, so you know, something that quality probably wouldn't be under $25. Sketches are quick enough to get away with a bit though.

O for the days when our Megan Lara was a penniless college student.

Have you posted any of your work on the GDB yet?

I moderated out a couple of posts.  I remember that it's been a long time since I posted that to stay on topic in this thread is only to post advertisement for player-created portraits of your actual characters (not images of possible characters, not unoriginal artwork), and discussion on that topic, but that is still the rule of this thread.  Thanks!

 ;D
Retired from playing, but probably still lurking around somewhere.

Oh and I have a writing blog.

Bast you still about? I'd love to see a portrait of Faithful Lord Yasir and Lord Marshal Rhodran Winrothol together.
