What is a surmac?

What are sunslits?

What is a thobe?

They block out most of the ground and sky to prevent eye damage from the glare. Dunes and salt flats and stuff.. very bright and nasty.

It's like a robe. Only a thobe. Got it?

I assume those are sunslits, heh.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and most of those are around thirty each.

I remember someone finding a picture of a surmac once, but every time I search for it all I get is industrial polymers and typos for poisonous plants. Anyone?

And from the description, kalasiri just sounds plain made up.

Kalasiri: A long, one-piece form-fitting dress. Usually either high-necked, or assymetrically-cut, one-sleeved. Anklelength garment. Typically worn by Allanak nobility or upper class.

Kalasiri-like sequin dress.

I'd imagine it a little longer and with a small slit, since it's an Allanaki high-class wear and these uncomfortable and hard to walk in.  Anyway, that's more or less what they look like, I suppose.

From the description, I picture a surmac as the unholy offspring of a beekeeper's hat and a sombrero.  I have no idea how you fit one of those suckers under a hood.

Most are real clothining.  A simple google search should help people out, using google image searches can bring up pictures.

The kalasiris is something from Ancient Egypt, and is as Larrath described.
