I'm trying to come up with some sort of Zalanthan compendium for comparisons and/or superlatives.

What I'm looking for is stuff like this:

As big as a bahamet.

As hated as a mindbender.

If you have some cool ones, please throw them on here, or alternatively PM me with them. Thanks much.

PS: If you post em here, folks might be able to use them in sentences down the line.

Lazy as an inix.

Crazier than a spiced-up jozhal.

Slick as a greased-up sandsnake.

Hotter'n krath's ass. (I stole that one.)

A creation of mine, and my personal favorite:
Poking at the mangled corpse of a purple-haired elf, the figure in the dark, hooded cloak says, in sirihish:
"Feck... looks like a halfling banquet 'round here..."

I think a few people have come up with kanking independently. It's not that much a stretch from porkin'.

But yes, I like it, been using it with my vulgar characters.

Hm...let's see, something useful. . .

I like to use the differences between the city states:

Blunt as a nakki'.

Ugly as a stormer.

Shifty as a tuluki. Or, better yet, "Don't dance around the subject like some feckin' tuluki."

"Get to the point like a good 'nakki."

"You've got the manners of a stormer."

Hah, one could even use the cities of other cultures.

Sarcastically, "he's about as civilized as a Ptarken." Though this would go over many commoner's heads.

Yeah, but there are people who get uppity when you even suggest that they didn't come up with it.  You know, that someone else could have the exact same idea.

IMHO, those people have silt for brains.
Yes. Read the thread if you want, or skip to page 7 and be dismissive.

Blacker than a Templar's heart.  (be careful what company you use that one in)

More trecherous than a Kuraci.

Faster than an erdlu running over a dune of krelez.

As ferocious as a tembo in a tregil trap.

As deadly as a mek in one of them dark, hooded cloaks.  (Okay, that was just for kicks.)

As cheap as an alley whore with no legs and, unfortunately, all her teeth.

....these can go on and on with many different answers for each one.  All you have to do is stick around and play the game, learn all the 'ferocious' things, and all the 'sturdy' things...similies aren't that hard to create :P
