That's definitely not Muk Utep.

That guy is hawt and has crimson hair like blood upon the battlefield man.
Child, child, if you come to this doomed house, what is to save you?

A voice whispers, "Read the tales upon the walls."

Good point. Tek then.

Or that's just what he -wants- you to think.

What jackass photographer takes a picture like that instead of helping the guy?

There are a number of cultures in Africa that don't fear the big scary hyena the way we (and most other people in the world) do.

There are 'hyena men' in Africa who use spotted hyenas in street shows to make money.  You know, like Siegfried and Roy and their tigers, except without the Vegas strip as a backdrop and without all the glitz and glamor.

There is a place in...Ethiopia (?) where the hyena is 'worshipped' because it is believed that they ward off evil spirits.  The walls of the city have accessible entryways so the hyenas can come and go as they please and when they are encountered in the streets it isn't a terrible thing.

I read a blog post about it a few months ago.  I think the blog belonged to a photographer that focuses on exposing/showcasing the differences in African culture and that sort of thing.

Edit: Here we go.
