Sort of looks more of what'd be a bahamet.

That illustration is an artist's rendering of a mekillot.

Bahamet.
Where it will go

Tenneshi slaves, descending in to Under Tuluk for water.

Not actually representative of any known scene in Zalanthas, I'm afraid, but the vibe feels correct to me.

it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if you didn't post images of bugs and arachnids that freak me the hell out.
I could give a shit about wholesome.

Haha, this one takes it.

You always think it's gonna be the mantis, or some big ugly...but it's usually the tarantulas.
You know I think if James simply retitled his thread "Cheese" and apologized for his first post being off-topic, all problems would be solved.

A nytimes article on China's Tengger desert.  Some pretty shots, and a lot that reminds me of areas of Zalanthas -- I like to think those aerial shots of sheep or whatever running through wave dunes are the chalton around the ranch and pech grasses.

Replace the sci-fi scooter with a beetle and you've got Zalanthas.

If you want to appreciate how a 'small brown snake' (or a horde of them) hunting in the sand looks, please watch.

That is both fascinating and horrifying at the same time.

I have a whole new respect for what crossing the Red Desert is truly like.  Those snakes... crikey!

This artist's style really reminds me of Armageddon. The color palette and a lot of the armor/pose choices.

Paint on a mustache and be a dude for a day. Stuff some melons down my shirt, cinch up a corset and pass as a girl.

With appropriate roleplay of course.

heh. This makes me want to work on coloring the mantis head for others' enjoyment.
I'm just looking for a general consensus. Or Moe's opinion. Either one generally can be accepted as canon.

I suppose it begs the question:

Why -haven't- Zalanthans invented extreme sports yet? Just wear a pair of these Kuraci DuneHoppers and you're moving as fast as an erdlu on the dunes, but you have a chance every room to horribly wipe out.
Masks are the Armageddon equivalent of Ed Hardy shirts.
