I was gonna revive this (http://gdb.armageddon.org/index.php/topic,53307.msg1004028.html#msg1004028) since not everyone has access to the Publicity section of this GDB but decided to start a new one instead.
We can all agree that advertising pays. Most of us have YouTube, Twitter (https://twitter.com/armageddonmud), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/armageddonmud/), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/BuKRwnehT3q/), Snapchat and all the other hip places old people like me do not know about. Every once in a while I'll tag Arm on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ShaLeah/posts/10211877257830189) (like yesterday where I tagged 39 players (https://www.facebook.com/ShaLeah/posts/10214371274739053) I am friends with on the facebook) or Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/BvRtYWEBN4b/) (like this picture of me spanking a stormstrooper (https://www.instagram.com/p/Bh9rT6KHYHF/) at one of the DragonCon APMs).
It isn't enough to vote. We have 500 people on the Discord and over 4000 GDB accounts. All we need is a handful to start. A teensie tiny commitment from a few to shout us out to the world.

Is paid advertising (Facebook, Adwords, etc.) an option? I don't remember if there was an official pronouncement on this.
