.. liquids custom craftable? I mean more along the lines of perfumes and drink! Hopefully it has nothing to do with provided buffs or whatnot, I am more saying as mundane recipes with unique taste/smell descs or whatever.

Perfumes aren't a liquid type, and aren't mentioned as being prohibited.

The reason liquids are not custom craftable is that more is needed than simply crafting an object, you need to actually create a liquid type, that all the things like color, taste messages, etc. are tied to.  And we don't necessarily want a plethora of liquid types.  Not saying this is totally out of reach, there have been plots to create different booze types in the past, but these are tied to GMH plots where the knowledge of doing that sort of thing resides in the organization.  It isn't something your normal independent would be capable of (heck, they don't even know how anything about stills).

I forgot to come back and say that after further inspection, perfumes are restricted because each new scent requires C code changes in order to work.
