I see trees growing.  But where's the rain?  Or is there a magic gardener that sneaks out and waters them once a week?

A lot of trees in the real world are capable of capturing moisture from the air around them, and surviving on that, even in extremely dry climes.  May also be true of Armag-trees.  Underground sources might also help

Same way cactus' grow probably. At night and dawn the moisture that evaporated during the day then condenses on the plant, feeding it. This way the plant never needs to be watered. 8)
