Title: Beyond the New World
Post by: Zerero on April 21, 2011, 10:50:52 AM
Is there coded landscape beyond the known land? Is there a boundary where we can't go any further? Is there hidden temples/ruins beyond the Known World? is there undiscovered animals beyond the known world? etc etc etc

Yes. The details you just have to find out IG, which is the best part, really. Many of them will just blow your mind.  ;D

That sounds like a fantastic curiosity to ask about and explore in-character.

Oh, I don't think I ever get to say this!

Find out IC.

Seriously.  A whole planet /exists/ IC.  If it's coded or not is for you to discover.  Docs hint at some areas beyond what most commoners know about, implying they may be coded.

Yeah, you just have to keep going further. I've only played this game for like 40 hours in total and I've some awesome stuff too, too bad I couldn't bring anyone along there to explore further.

I've played ten years and still find new things to amuse and impress me. Areas, rooms, animals, people, ways to die, ways to live, and all manner of other fun things.

Wait, you registered in 2008 and you played the game for less than two days? And you've seen awesome stuff? Did you forget one zero?

Been around for about 10 or 11 years.

Been over a good portion of the Known World.

Found several areas what would be considered the "boundries" of the Known.

What, or if, there's anything beyond them you'll just have to find out IG.

Seriously.

Go do it.

You'll have your mind blown at just how friggin' awesome the game world really is.

If it helps any, the "Known" world consists *primarily* of Red Storm & Vicinity, Allanak & Vicinity, the Red Desert leading up to Luir's & Vicinity, the North Road continuing on toward the Grey Forest, the Scrub, and Tuluk.

Parts of the Tablelands are considered "known" as are parts of the Grasslands. It is known that the Canyon of Wastes exists, but what is in it..not necessarily. It's also known that Mantis Valley exists, and again - its contents are not necessarily known. It's known that Muark Territory is, in fact, Muark Territory, but what's past the borders (and where *exactly* those borders are) is not generally known.

Pretty much everything else, is "unknown." Some people DO know about it, but the vast majority of city-dwelling people do not. Since they're ICly (and in many cases OOCly) unknown, the only way you really could find out about it, is by discovering it in game.

Your a smart one :] Thanks for the information btw

P.S. When I posted this I meant to say the "Known World" but I guess it's fine.

Damn it, I meant 40 days, as in almost a thousand hours. I mostly just log in short 10-30 minute bursts, especially if there's nobody around.

Just felt like throwing in my piece here.

I've been playing since grade 11  which was spent at the new Saltfleet build on the upper Hamilton mountain.  I wonder how many of us still play today?  4 or 5 that I'm sure of.  Probably a few sleepers too.

What I wanted to comment on is the -world- of change that I've seen during my stint in this endless saga.  I've seen whole cities rise and fall, races and wildlife all the same. (KANKS)

I've seen my favourite path through the wasteland turned into a sink-hole followed by a fifty cord drop to a sudden stop.

What I'm trying to say is that this world changes alllllllll the time.  No matter how long you've been playing for, don't think for a moment that you've got this game figured out!

Someone who explored a portion of the unknown was kind enough to regale us with us tales in a tavern.

For a city leech, it sounds beyond belief. Perchance I shall detach myself from city walls one day.
