Title: Lack of Sekrets
Post by: Cerelum on January 03, 2008, 10:50:10 AM
Okay, I've never played any hugely world-changing role before like a Templar or Noble.  But I have played a few badass rangers.  I have always had the exploration bug hit me.  I would hazard to say in the 5-6 years I've been playing the game, I've ventured from one end of the world to another.  The one thing that's sorta disappointing I feel, is the lack of discovery.

Sure I might find a river in this far outstretch of land, sure I might find and iron mine in another.

The thing that bothers me is that I read the history, I read the lores and find little tidbits of information that seem to point towards quests and places to search out.  Such as Steinal.  Then you travel all the way over towards it, to find a locked door that can't be picked.

Are there any sekrets left to discover, so that you could say, "Hey I found that shit!" or are all these things left up to Admins to unlock or display at will?

I often thought of potentially seeking out a templar or some type of city official and trying to sanction an exploration mission, but don't even know if the staff has places like steinal and other locked off areas of the game even coded.

The adventure bug is too ingrained in me to simply be satisfied playing the tried and true city roles.  Anyone know if these things I strive for, world changing quests and exploration, are possible?

This would be an example of something to find out in-character rather than asking about on the GDB.

There are sekrets, lots of them.  To prevent any from being inadvertently spilled on the GDB, this thread has been locked.
