When you and your manager stay a bit longer at the office since some shit has to be done before the weekend, and you just end up chatting and chatting and chatting cause omg we have so much in common. I'm a little hesitant cause she is my manager, but shit, she could be a super cool friend too. We were already discussing to out some time, just a girl's night.

Nonetheless, I feel colleagues are an extended family. You're spending time with them at least an x amount of hours a day/week, sometimes more than with the regular fam, and a good relation is a necessity to get shit done on the work floor.

Setting up for a cancer benefit today, and people donated so much cool stuff for the silent auction.  People can truly be wonderful.  😊

I just picked up a Tikkakoski Finnish 91 Mosin Nagant for easily half of what it is worth from a pawn shop who didnt know what they had. So good.

Nice.  I didn't realize they dated all the way back to '91.  I assumed they were late WWI.  Huh.
You know I think if James simply retitled his thread "Cheese" and apologized for his first post being off-topic, all problems would be solved.

Oh yeah. Designed and first manufactured by Sergei Mosin in 1891. Incredible that such an old model can still fire sub-MOA. This is why Axis sharpshooters would steal Mosins off the battlefield to use, rather than keep their K's.
By the markings, measurements, and certain attributes (like the hex-receiver, curved rear-leaf, or the birch stock, for instance), I know the rifle I picked up was manufactured in the Izhevsk armory in the 1910s, captured (taken off a dead Russian) or bought by Finland, then refitted by the Finns at the Tikkakoski armory and restamped 1941, fresh for ww2.
Standard Russian 91s or 91/30s are competitive with modern long-rifles to this very day, and ones refitted in Finland are known to be of a higher quality and accuracy.

I went through 6 mosins at the shop, 4 of which I could tell without even checking the markings that they were 91/30s bought in a crate that had not been opened since ww2. The markings told me they were from the Tula armory, manufactured in 1943. The last was an original Tula Russian 91 with a hex receiver and tons of damage.

I cash-lowballed the fuck out of the guy manning the shop, so he called the owner, but when he told him which rifle I was making the offer for, he said "Tula" rather than "Tikka." $200 price difference with that one word alone. He is gonna get chewed out for sure.

I put 50 rounds through the weapon yesterday. 20 at ~40 yards standing, and 30 at ~80 yards sitting. The weapon is dead-on accurate, even after all this time, it is incredible.

Took my time with a thorough breakdown and cleaning last night. The bore and chamber were well cleaned and oiled, but jesus fucking christ, it looked like nobody had taken apart the bolt since ww2. Cosmoline and dirt Eurasian soil, i'd wager. lol.

I noticed a new review on Transition from back in August - I haven't checked my Amazon sales page in ages, so that was a nice surprise.  8)

I know, I know. I need to get back into publishing and marketing ASAP. I'm on it!  8)

There were 15 limited edition Rick and Morty Szechuan sauce packets in all of Gainesville. There was a line of people 30-40 deep waiting for the release at 2pm. A little charm and a palm of cash got me 2 of the sauces at 12:30. It feels wonderful.

In addition, single packets of this sauce are bidding for hundreds of dollars on ebay, and i've seen "buy it now" prices of over $2k.

I wanna bite her paws. That face. She's gonna give you a run for your money.

When I researched the breed I found out they're herders and constantly nip. Reason enough for me to chill and really think about it.

A venti Frappuccino was waiting for me on my desk this morning. Then a steak sandwich for lunch. And the boss pays for it all! Love my job.
